Jeremy Horne Released, Verran Tucker Promoted

facebooktwitterreddit

The Kansas City Chiefs released free agent WR Jeremy Horne late Saturday and promoted free agent WR Verran Tucker from the practice squad.

The move seems a little strange, as the Chiefs seemed to really like Horne after the preseason. He hasn’t really made an impact on the offense this season but to be fair he hasn’t really gotten many opportunities. Earlier in the week Horne was spotted wearing an inflatable boot on his leg.

Horne’s release means a roster spot has opened up and the Chiefs have promoted WR Verran Tucker from the practice squad. Tucker came to the Chiefs in the preseason and has been a member of the practice squad the last five games. He played his college ball at Cal.

What do you think Addicts? Did Horne get a fair shake? The Chiefs are really shallow at receiver. Do you think perhaps Horne was released more because he was injured than for a lack of talent?

Sound off.
