After weeks of waiting, L'Jarius Sneed is finally expected to be on the move.

According to Adam Schefter, the Kansas City Chiefs "are finalizing a deal" that would send Sneed to the Titans. The Chiefs are reportedly swapping seventh-round picks with the Titans and getting a third-round pick in 2025 from Tennessee as well.

Chiefs trade L'Jarius Sneed to Tennessee

Sneed first came to the Chiefs as the team's fourth-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. General manager Brett Veach traded up to get him as a versatile defensive back out of Louisiana Tech, and he profiled as a potential corner or safety given his physical style of play, athleticism, and solid tackling.

That preseason, the Chiefs found themselves in need of immediate corner help due to an early season suspension of Bashaud Breeland. Instead, the Chiefs turned to Sneed to fill in from Week 1 and he seized the opportunity as quickly as it was offered with 2 interceptions in his first 2 NFL games.

Sneed suffered a broken collarbone early in his rookie year that forced him to miss time, but he'd locked down the starting role before he left and upon his return, showing the Chiefs that they got the pick right in the draft. From there, Sneed went on to start every game for K.C. for the next three years, providing a lockdown option outside who can also spell inside, too.

In the span of his rookie deal, Sneed ended up intercepting 10 passes, deflecting 40 more, and putting up over 300 tackles. Last year, he regularly shut down the best receivers on opposing teams in a campaign that deserved both Pro Bowl and All-Pro nods. On the verge of free agency, there's a good reason why so many teams have been reportedly interested.

Sneed is now 27 and coming off of a career season in which he allowed an impressive 56.2 opposing quarterback passer rating and a 51 percent completion rate.
