Pick Analysis. WR. Ohio State. player. 10. Scouting Report. Jaxon Smith-Njigba. 12

From Cleveland Browns

How cool would it be for the Texans to first draft CJ Stroud and then get his top weapon? That’s exactly how it all may play out in this draft. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is widely considered the best receiver in this class. With a quick first step and a twitch in and out of his routes, his separation skills are at an elite level. This is precisely what the Texans need to rejuvenate their offense.

Currently, the Texans have a combination of Robert Woods and Noah Brown as their top receiving options. For newcomer CJ Stroud, not only would he get a great receiver, he would also get the receiver that he has the most chemistry with. What a way to jumpstart your NFL career.

Scouting Report. OT/IOL. Peter Skoronski. 13. player. 30. Pick Analysis. Northwestern

Aaron Rodgers is going to be a Jet. Or, at least we have all been led to believe that he will be. The Jets invested heavily in the wide receiving corps this offseason. In order to make sure that Rodgers gets all that he requires, adding a top-tier versatile offensive lineman would make a lot of sense. In this case, we have them grabbing Peter Skoronski of Northwestern.

Skoronski has the ability to play both inside and out. With some of the injuries and inconsistencies that the Jets have experienced, that is invaluable. Skoronski plays hard and finishes blocks on every level. To create a dominant offense, he could be an integral part of an already talented rushing attack before they add Rodgers to the mix.

player. WR. 14. TCU. Quentin Johnston. 47. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

It has been no secret that Bill Belichick loves what DeAndre Hopkins can bring to an offense. If they can’t land Nuk, the next best option is to draft a player that fits in his mold. Quentin Johnston is a very intriguing option in this draft class. While he has a huge frame and catch radius, he is not an overly physical blocker. For a guy of his size (6’3, 208 pounds), he moves incredibly well. Perhaps most impressively is his ability to adjust on the ball and come down with big catches.

New England has a lot of guys at wide receiver and Johnston would provide them with a future star. The quarterback controversies in New England have been present since Tom Brady left, but giving a quarterback some better tools to work with can mask a lot of their woes.

Pick Analysis. WR. Boston College. Zay Flowers. Scouting Report. 15. player. 49

Perhaps the player with the most expansive route tree in this class is Zay Flowers. With Julian Love preparing to lead the charge for the Packers, the team would be wise to invest in weapons. While Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson are nice pieces, Flowers provides an ability and skill set that they don’t currently have on the roster.

Flowers can play inside or out and is explosive with the ball in his hands. He can make big plays near the line of scrimmage, or he can make big plays downfield. In Green Bay, Flowers would quickly become their “go-to” guy on screens and jet sweeps that could help open an offense that has been somewhat limited, open up.
