10. EDGE. Georgia. Nolan Smith. 12. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

From Cleveland

The Texans could honestly do anything with this pick, but in my eyes, it has to be a pass-rusher or wide receiver. If they get to pick 13 and Nolan Smith is available, it would be irresponsible for them not to take him. Smith is a speedy hybrid-type EDGE that could play in a number of different roles along the Houston defense. Smith would be an immediate impact player and would be a key part of the process of making the Texans defense responsible. With tremendous burst and powerful hands, Smith could provide a great spark to the defense.

Pick Analysis. Peter Skoronski. 13. player. 30. Scouting Report. IOL/OT. Northwestern

The Jets have been in discussions to acquire Aaron Rodgers all offseason. While it’s a complicated process, they have made a number of moves to help the 39 year-old be comfortable. This pick will be no exception. Peter Skoronski would be an excellent addition to an already very athletic offensive line. Skoronski is a versatile piece that could play either guard or tackle. For the Jets, he would probably be the right tackle. With a high football IQ and good technique, he would be an instant starter on an already talented offensive line.

player. Scouting Report. WR. Ohio State. Jaxon Smith-Njigba. 14. 47. Pick Analysis

The Patriots are eternally unpredictable in the draft. Whether it’s Mac Jones or Cole Strange, no one knows what truly expect. This year, this just makes sense. Jaxon Smith-Njigba would be an immediate impact starter. With great separation skills and the ability to make big plays at any level, Smith-Njigba would likely become the new number-one receiver in town. Currently, the Patriots’ top option is JuJu Smith-Schuster, who has never been the top receiving option on any team that he has been on.

WR. 15. player. Scouting Report. Boston College. Zay Flowers. 49. Pick Analysis

The Packers seem to be ready for the Jordan Love era. They drafted Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson a season ago, but there is still a need for a playmaker. While they could also look at tight ends at 15, Zay Flowers would be a great addition to a young receiving corp. He was almost single-handedly the reason that Boston College had a functional passing attack. With a route-running tree that may be the most versatile of anyone in this class, Flowers would make for a good playmaking option in Green Bay.
