Four Senior Bowl standouts for KC Chiefs to consider
By Matt Conner
Adetomiwa Adebawore, DL, Northwestern
It’s going to be very, very interesting to see how the Chiefs view Adetomiwa Adebawore as a draft prospect. That’s also true about every other team. Adebawore enters the pre-draft season as one of the most polarizing prospects on the defensive side. That’s not to say that some teams don’t like his talents, but rather there’s quite a range of opinions on just how good Adebawore could be at the next level.
At present, Adebawore is a versatile defensive line prospect who has disruptive ability while playing along the interior. Is he stout enough to play the run and be a three-down option for teams? Is he flexible enough to shift outside at times at the next level? Depending on the projection, scouts can see him growing into a starting disruptive tackle at the next level while others acknowledge that the pro level could block him in myriad ways.
The Chiefs have been down this road before with Khalen Saunders (in a good way) and Joshua Kaindoh (in a not-so-good way). At the very least, unless a team is more confident than most and grabs him early, Adebawore could be an interesting defensive line prospect with potential that could be too great to ignore.
