Juan Thornhill

Before the season began, Juan Thornhill told everyone to expect great things from him as he predicted an All-Pro season in 2022. While he’s not played at quite that level, especially on such a consistent effort, the truth is that Thornhill has been a reliable defender for the Chiefs this season on a level that they haven’t since his rookie year.

On Saturday, Thornhill not only generated a turnover with a nice interception of Jarrett Stidham in the first half but he came up with several tough tackles and another deflection.

Together with Justin Reid, Thornhill looks like he’s settling in well with his new teammates in a remade secondary, and that bodes well for the Chiefs going forward as they look for another Super Bowl run. Thornhill has already matched his career high in interceptions with three and he’ll be an opportunistic playmaker against playoff competitors from here on out as he looks to complete his contract season with another Super Bowl win.
