AFC West report: A wild end to the regular season

Oh, Denver. You had nothing to play for on Sunday and you tried real hard, but you just are not that good. As you watched your season come to an end against the Chiefs, you must have felt some kind of hope as the offseason loomed brightly in front of you.
Just hours after the end of the regular season, the Broncos fired head coach Vic Fangio and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur and are now in the hunt for a head coach. This move was clearly necessary. The Broncos have been bad for a long time, but they have so much talent. They need someone who can utilize that talent, maybe identify a quarterback, and move this team from early elimination to contender.
The question of the quarterback spot is a big one. Did Drew Lock prove he is the answer on Saturday? I mean, look at this stallion prancing into the end zone:
I really hope the Broncos think they suddenly discovered something with Lock because their perpetual existence at the bottom of the AFC West is just hilarious.
But turning our eyes back to the biggest issue: head coach. The Broncos have submitted requests for a number of candidates to interview. Right now, the odds for a new head coach are as follows:
This will be an interesting cycle, no doubt. Is Dan Quinn suddenly amazing? I don’t think so, but who knows…
