Returning KC Chiefs who will make an impact down the stretch
By Matt Conner
Anthony Sherman
Anthony Sherman has been a favorite of Chiefs fans and coaches ever since he first arrived as the better half of a trade that sent cornerback Javier Arenas to the Arizona Cardinals way back in 2013. Sherman has been the team’s only fullback ever since Andy Reid arrived in Kansas City and he remains an important offensive piece, even as he’s used sparingly compared to others.
This season, Sherman’s already made a memorable imprint with a special play titled “Smoked Sausage,” an underhanded toss that the fullback walked in for a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens.

From there, however, Sherman made news in an opposite way when he was placed on the Chiefs COVID/Reserve list before the team’s win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. The Chiefs have gone two games now without Sherman, but hopefully he will be back in short order.
