5. Chiefs 27, Ravens 24, OT: Dec. 9, 2018

With the Baltimore Ravens up 24-17 on the Kansas City Chiefs late in the fourth quarter, it was a chance for quarterback Patrick Mahomes to prove why he is the best quarterback in the NFL and why he was worthy of the MVP award that year. He did exactly that.

Mahomes provided an 11-play, 75-yard drive to remember. After a false start penalty made it 4th-and-9, Mahomes made an epic play. He was chased out of the pocket and threw a pass to wide receiver Tyreek Hill for 48 yards. Four plays later, the Chiefs faced another fourth down play. Mahomes succeeded again, this time finding running back Damien Williams for a touchdown to tie the game and force overtime.

The Chiefs forced a fumble right before regulation, but missed on a potential game-winning field goal. But kicker Harrison Butker connected in overtime as the Ravens were unable to score on their first possession in overtime.

The Chiefs were held to 24 points in four quarters, the fewest in a four-quarter span in 2018. But the Chiefs found a way to overcome a sound and stout Ravens defense, alongside a thrilling game-tying drive before overtime to help the Chiefs win in overtime and stay atop the AFC.
