Final prediction

A case could be made for a handful of Chiefs, as we’ve outlined here. There are a lot of factors to consider, as Veach and Reid will have to balance their conversation between players’ 2019 contributions with their potential player value in 2020 and beyond.

Keeping just four corners is a risky way to operate, regardless of who those players are, so I think Fenton stays. Pringle, Allegretti, Rankin and O’Daniel will stick around for their potential. Lucas will scrape by for now.

I think when it all boils down, Chiefs brass will be choosing between Senat and Ragland. Ultimately, the injury to Fisher on the offensive line combined with Ragland’s low ceiling lead to the linebacker’s release. With the right situation, the 26-year-old Ragland still has something offer to an NFL roster.

Did we get it right? What do you think? Who gets bumped out to make room for Claiborne? Give us your thoughts in the comments.
