Offensive Public Enemy #1:

Joe Mixon, RB

The Chiefs have struggled against the run in the previous weeks. Of the running backs that they have faced, none are more scary than Joe Mixon. With a great balance of speed and strength, the Chiefs will have a tough task trying to stop him in the middle of the field. In order to slow down the rush, the defense will need to be aggressive in the middle of the field. If they hesitate, Mixon could rack up 200 yards.

Offensive Public Enemy #2:

A.J. Green, WR

As one of the league’s best playmakers, AJ Green could really hurt the Chiefs if they try to match up one on one with him. Green uses his size to get position on smaller defenders in addition to his solid route running skills. If Kansas City does not stay glued to Green, he will make some incredible plays if given the opportunity.

Offensive Public Enemy #3:

Tyler Boyd, WR

Tyler Boyd has really come into his own this season. Similarly to Green, Boyd has excellent size and speed. The Chiefs will have their hands full covering both of these receivers, especially when both can make incredible contested catches.

Defensive Public Enemy:

Vontaze Burfict, LB

Vontaze Burfict is far from the most talented player on the Bengals defense. However, he is easily the dirtiest player in the NFL. Burfict should be on the Chiefs radar for the gameplan. Kansas City will need to do its absolute best to protect their offensive players from cheap shots from Burfict.

Offensive Scheming Player #1:

Tyreek Hill, WR

As mentioned, the Bengals defense does not have elite speed and it is a place that the Chiefs can exploit. Tyreek Hill could have a huge game with screen passes and deep passes alike. The Bengals will have trouble getting to Hill because of his quickness and the Chiefs should do well against this secondary.

Offensive Scheming Player #2:

Travis Kelce, TE

The middle of the field will have its openings. Travis Kelce will likely have a great game if the Bengals run a lot of zone defense or if they matchup a linebacker on him. Patrick Mahomes should be looking to the middle of the field early and often. Kelce is the biggest mismatch for the Bengals. However, I expect them to key on him.

Offensive Scheming Player #3:

Sammy Watkins, WR

Sammy Watkins will also have a favorable matchup against the Bengals. With great speed and route running, Watkins will create separation and will not be accounted for the same way that Kelce and Hill will be. Watkins could take over the game, if Cincinnati is not careful.

Defensive Player that needs to step up:

Anthony Hitchens, LB

Hitchens has been the opposite of good. Along with Reggie Ragland, the defense has struggled mightily against the run. Personally, the linebackers look frightened of contact. They have had terrible issues with hesitation against runners. They will need to step up their game in order to keep Joe Mixon in check.

Final Analysis:

Once again, I am expecting a tight game. This game, to me, comes down to the quarterbacks. Both teams have explosive players on both sides of the ball. The Bengals have more of a balance of talent, but the Chiefs have, in my opinion, the best offense in the NFL. I think this gives the Chiefs a slight edge.

dark. Next. NFL's defensive woes should help Chiefs

With lack of defensive speed, the play makers for the Chiefs have an opportunity to have a huge game offensively. I believe that this week that Kansas City will get back on track with a victory this week.
