NFC East

Washington Redskins 1-1-0

The Redskins weren’t able to continue the success they saw last week against the Arizona Cardinals. Quarterback Alex Smith completed 33/46 attempts for 292 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions. Running back Adrian Peterson didn’t see the success he saw last week either, rushing for only 20 yards on 11 carries. The Redskins weren’t able to get the offense going and fell to the Colts 21-9.

Philadelphia Eagles 1-1-0

The defending Super Bowl champions weren’t able to win their second game of the season. Backup quarterback Nick Foles filled in for starting quarterback Carson Wentz again due to Wentz still not being cleared for contact. Foles had a great game, throwing for 334 yards and 1 touchdown on 35/48 completions, but his performance wasn’t enough for the Eagles. They fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a final score of 27-21.

Dallas Cowboys 1-1-0

The Cowboys had another low scoring game, but they got the job done against the New York Giants. While the Giants kept running back Ezekiel Elliot quiet (78 yards and 1 touchdown, though the touchdown came late in the 4th quarter) for most of the game, the Cowboys found other ways to score. Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 16/25 passes for 160 yards and 1 touchdown. The Cowboys were able to win 20-13.

New York Giants 0-2-0

After only putting up 15 points last week against the Jaguars, the Giants offense struggled again, this time putting up only 13 points against the Cowboys. Quarterback Eli Manning was sacked 6 times by the Cowboys and the Giants were unable to win. Manning completed 33/44 passes for 279 yards and 1 touchdown. Saquon Barkley was held in check on the ground, only able to rush for 28 yards on 11 carries. He was able to catch 14 passes for 80 yards, though. The Giants lost 20-13 to the Cowboys.

NFC West

Los Angeles Rams 2-0-0

Even without kicker Greg Zuerlein, the Rams got the job done against the struggling Cardinals offense. Punter Johnny Hekker took Zuerlein’s place, but he only kicked one field goal. The Rams mainly used running back Todd Gurley and went for two-point conversions. Gurley finished the day with 3 rushing touchdowns and 2 two-point conversions. The Rams shutout the Cardinals for a 34-0 win.

San Francisco 49ers 1-1-0

Even without running back Jerrick McKinnon, the 49ers got the job done on the ground. Matt Breida rushed 11 times for 138 yards and 1 touchdown, making a case to be the starting running back for the 49ers over Alfred Morris. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed 18/26 passes for 206 yards and 2 touchdowns and led the 49ers to a 30-27 win over the Detroit Lions.

Seattle Seahawks 0-2-0

The Seahawks weren’t able to get the job done against the Chicago Bears and got their second loss. Quarterback Russel Wilson completed 22/36 passes for 226 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. The Seahawks’ offensive line struggled again, allowing the Bears to sack Wilson 6 times. Ultimately, the Seahawks lost 24-10.

Arizona Cardinals 0-2-0

The Cardinals continued to struggle offensively. Quarterback Sam Bradford completed 17/27 passes for only 90 yards and 1 interception, while running back David Johnson only had 13 carries for 48 yards. The Cardinals weren’t able to score a single point, losing 34-0.
