Kansas City Chiefs fans should be prepared for the worst this season

Sammy Watkins
Looking at Kansas City’s newest weapon in Watkins, the buzz is pure excitement. When videos started leaking out of practice featuring Watkins catching passes one-handed in practice, fans began to believe that they finally had an elite second receiver on the team. There is still the lingering question of whether or not if he will be healthy through the entire season. No one has ever denied that Watkins has all the talent in the world, but the problem is staying healthy enough to show off that talent.
Watkins only played in 65% of his games throughout 2015-2016, and while he was healthy all of last season, he was just able to amass 593 yards receiving. He shared a roster with Robert woods, Pharoh Cooper, Tyler Higbee, and Cooper Kupp. Watkins is far and away the most talented receiver out of that group; despite this, he was unable to stand out among them. You would expect that a wide receiver as capable as Watkins would have been able to do more in his first healthy season in two years.
