Patti DiPardo-Livergood as Lyla Garrity

For the majority of her high school career, Lyla Garrity stood on the sidelines cheering game after game for the Dillon Panthers, A dutiful captain, she worked hard on posters, organized pep rallies and generally went above and beyond to make sure the Panthers, and specifically her boyfriend Jason Street, could feel the crowd was behind them.

Even more, Lyla was following in her father’s footsteps. Buddy Garrity was the head booster of the Dillon Panthers who leveraged his history with the team and role in the community to bring support to the team.

Patti DiPardo-Livergood followed in her own father’s, Tony’s, footsteps as Music Director for the Kansas City Chiefs for many, many years. Before the latest round of improvements at Arrowhead, you’d find the TD Pack Band in the live bandstand in the east end zone, founded by her father, who was known as “Mr. Music.”

The DiPardo’s supported the Chiefs in myriad ways over the decades, beginning in 1963 and ending in 2008. Even today DiPardo remains musically active with her husband Robert Livergood.
