vs. Auburn
- Near pick of a ball thrown high
- Another interception close call (staring a receiver down)
- Will take off with room to run
- Throws outside the numbers tend to meander
- Nice back-shoulder throw for a first down
- Big, physical guy who won’t wilt when a defender gets a hand on him
- Consistently throws from a good base
- Does a good job of making back-shoulder throws
- Good throw dropped over Williams’ shoulder in the end zone (would-be TD)
- BAD throw picked (third quarter)
- Rarely made Auburn D pay for clean pocket and time to throw
- PERFECT ball placement on dropped TD pass by Williams
- FANTASTIC throw in face of pressure (for a TD)
- Can make defenders miss in open field
- Tough guy who doesn’t seem to be rattled by getting banged around by defense
vs. NC State
- Good throw on a slant for a first down
- TOUGH runner (he’s fearless)
- Missed wide open Cain (would’ve been a TD)
- Runs read-option well
- Watson will stiff arm the @#$% outta you!
- Reminds me of Alex Smith
- Nice throw to Williams in the end zone (defender draped all over him)
- Got baited by Stevens on a pick-6
- Questionable accuracy on deep throws
- GREAT throw outside the numbers to a falling receiver (third quarter play)
- TOUGH third quarter run for a TD
- DIME of a deep slant throw to Williams
- His feet can buy himself time in the pocket
- Stubborn sometimes and just won’t go down when under pressure
- REALLY sells play action
- Nice ball placement on throw (TD in OT)
vs. Louisville
- Near pick on a 3rd & 5 play
- Nice throw to Leggett (first down) with blitz coming
- Ball thrown behind Williams despite him having a step on a defender (second quarter play)… Thrown out in front… TOUCHDOWN?
- NICE deep throw to Cain for a TD!
- Scott drew a PI flag because of a poorly thrown Watson ball (so underthrown the receiver had to stop and the defender ran into him)
- Another SICK deep throw to Cain for a TD!
- Threw Scott open on deep seam route
- Great throw to Scott in red zone situation for TD (late first half)
- Pick by Watson NOT his fault…thrown well (receiver’s fault)
- Watson is soooooo slippery!
- Another big run for a first down (third quarter)
- Badly thrown fade picked by Alexander
- STEWPID (yes, STEWPID) play action fake (TD throw to Williams)!
- Immaculate late fourth quarter drive by Watson (made some BIG time throws)
- Flashed that Round One potential in this game
vs. Florida State
- Nice run for a first down
- Tough run for another first down
- Bootleg really kept defense honest and created space on TD throw
- Picked on a corner route didn’t see the defender trailing the play
- Precise throw between defenders from his own end zone
- GREAT over-the-shoulder deep throw to Cain
- Threw a DIME of a jump ball to Renfrow (dropped TD)
- BAD pick to another trailing defender
- Seems to have a lot of balls batted down
- Difficult throw to Williams between defenders (fourth quarter)
- Avoided pressure and STUCK a throw to Renfrow
- Needs to learn when to give himself up as a runner
- Impressive late-game drive to seal a comeback!
vs. Georgia Tech
- Ran the read-option to perfection on opening drive
- GREAT throw on fade route on Williams TD
- Watson tends to unnecessarily expose himself to big hits while running the ball
- FANTASTIC fade ball thrown to Williams (incomplete…out of bounds)
- Another good fade route throw to Williams (looked like he was interfered with)
- DIME dropped over Williams shoulder for what was nearly a TD
- Way to step up, avoid pressure and find a man for a first down (first quarter)
- RIDICULOUS throw outside the numbers for a first down
- He’s put SEVERAL downfield throws in perfect spots in this game
- Miscommunication on Watson pick in the end zone (not his fault)
- EXCELLENT throw to Jordan Leggett on late second quarter TD!
- Maybe the most convincing game I’ve watched thus far
- Avoided TWO sacks on plays where the GA Tech defense had him dead to right
- Missed wide open receiver (late fourth quarter play)
