Jimmie Gilbert, Colorado, LB (6th, 216 overall)

The Chiefs could add their second Colorado defender of the draft with Jimmie Gilbert, a pass rushing outside linebacker who would add another young developmental prospect to the stable along with last year’s pick of Dadi Nicolas. The Chiefs need someone to step up into that role, and Gilbert broke out last year with 11 sacks.

Damarius Travis, Minnesota, S (6th, 218 overall)

Travis would have a hard time making the Chiefs final roster with so few slots left in the secondary for back-ups, especially with D.J. White looking productive from last year as a sixth rounder and Eric Murray’s strong special teams performance.

Storm Norton, Toledo, OT (7th, 245 overall)

With the final pick of a draft class, a team can’t go wrong taking a flyer on a 6-8 offensive tackle. Then again the Chiefs already have a nice project tackle in Bryan Witzmann
