Kansas City Chiefs: Top 10 games of all-time

2. Super Bowl IV – Minnesota Vikings vs. Kansas City Chiefs
You probably thought this was going to be the top spot on the list, and it very well could have been. The Chiefs were huge underdogs going into Super Bowl IV, with some believing that the Minnesota Vikings were the best team to ever play professional football.
Minnesota was coming off a 12-2 season which including a 12-game winning streak in the middle. The Vikings were led by a nasty defense known as the Purple People Eaters, showcasing a defensive line with Alan Page, Jim Marshall and Carl Eller.
Instead of being overwhelmed as it was in Super Bowl I, Kansas City flipped the script and dominated Minnesota to give the American Football League its second consecutive upset of the National Football League in the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs completely crushed the Vikings offensive attack led by quarterback and NFL Most Valuable Player Joe Kapp, holding the Purple Gang to seven points. Meanwhile, Len Dawson and Otis Taylor hooked up for a 46-yard touchdown in the third quarter to put the game on ice, making the score 23-7.
For the Chiefs, it is their first and only Super Bowl win to this point.
