Arizona Cardinals:  The Cardinals have dealt a 2nd round pick and former 1st round pick, Jonathan Cooper, to the Patriots for star defensive end Chandler Jones.  The move gives the Cards their missing piece from last year’s stellar defense…a top shelf pass rusher.  The Cardinals also signed veteran guard Evan Mathis to a one year deal.

Baltimore Ravens: After being quiet for most of the offseason, the Ravens made the move to sign safety Eric Weddle in Free Agency.

Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals managed to re-sign corner Adam Jones on a three year deal.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns continued to clean house by releasing veterans Karlos Dansby and Dwayne Bowe.  While Bowe wasn’t a surprise, the release of Dansby caught a number of people off guard.  The Browns have made some additions though, such as safety Rahim Moore, and were able to get Terrelle Pryor to sign his RFA tender.  The team also finally made the release of Johnny Manziel official.

Denver Broncos: The Broncos have decided to match the contract offer tendered to CJ Anderson by the Miami Dolphins.  This move surprised many, but makes sense after the team has only been able to come away with Mark Sanchez at quarterback thus far in the offseason.

Green Bay Packers: Packers defensive tackle BJ Raji has possibly gone into retirement.  The former first round pick announced that he would be taking the year off from football, with the potential that this is a permanent move.

  • Chiefs’ Take: Raji will be a name to watch in 2017 if the Chiefs are unable to re-sign Dontari Poe.

Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings continued to build their OL by adding tackle Andre Smith.

New England Patriots:  The Pats made some big moves to get back to the Super Bowl.  After adding a 2nd round pick and guard Jonathan Cooper, the team was also able to trade for Bears tight end Martellus Bennett and a 6th round pick, for just a 4th round pick in return.

Oakland Raiders: The Raiders were able to win the Sean Smith sweepstakes and sign the veteran corner.

  • Chiefs’ Take: Losing Sean Smith stings, losing him to a division rival makes it that much worse.  The Chiefs will see Smith twice a year for the next several seasons…here’s to hoping he turns out to have a Stanford Routt-like experience for them.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant has been suspended for the year for marijuana use.  It is twice in the last two years that he has been caught.  Bryant originally planned to challenge the suspension, but has instead checked into a rehab clinic and dropped his appeal.

San Francisco 49ers: The 49ers are currently entertaining trade offers for quarterback Colin Kaepernick.  The Broncos, Jets, and Browns have all been linked to the talks with the Broncos expected to be the leader for him.  Talks have recently quieted, but that is often the case before someone makes another big push.

Well, that’s going to do it for me, Addicts.  Be sure to check back in next week for another round up of NFL news and rumors.
