Chiefs free agency: Five targets to consider

1. Donald Penn
Penn might be off your radar, but he is a very good player. He’s been serving as the left tackle of the Oakland Raiders since 2014 and now is hitting free agency. Penn was once a terrific player with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, making the Pro Bowl back in 2010.
At 32 years old, Penn is probably hoping to get one more solid contract before riding into the sunset. He’s never been on a very good team, so perhaps he is looking to go to a team that can win something. Penn would not be taking the left tackle job away from Eric Fisher, but he would be a great fit at right tackle. Penn would also be stolen away from the Raiders, which is always fun.
Penn would be taking over the spot of Donald Stephenson, who probably walks in free agency. Jah Reid would be his backup, after Reid signed a three-year deal at the end of this season to remain in Kansas City. Penn ios the kind of guy who does not get a ton of ink, but he can play.
Contract offer: 3 years, $14 million ($8M guaranteed)
