Denver Broncos (-4) at Cleveland Browns
This is a tricky game. Denver (5-0) might be the worst 5-0 team I’ve ever seen. The defense is great, the offense is horrific. Eventually, that comes to roost. Cleveland (2-3) has been frisky all year. This will be tight in the fourth quarter.
Pick: Denver 16, Cleveland 10
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (-2.5)
Chicago (2-3) is a horrible team, despite the Chiefs making them look like a Super Bowl contender in the fourth quarter. Detroit (0-5) is rancid and on the brink of implosion, but it has to win at some point.
Pick: Detroit 23, Chicago 21
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (EVEN)
My God.
Pick: Jacksonville 20, Houston 17, Human Decency 0
Washington Redskins at New York Jets (-7)
New York (3-1) is showing that it might be a playoff-caliber team. Also, as much as I enjoy mocking Washington (2-3), the Redskins have been respectable. This could actually be a close game, albeit fairly ugly because of the quarterbacks.
Pick: New York 24, Washington 16
Arizona Cardinals (-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers
Arizona (4-1) is one of the best teams in the league, hands down. The Cardinals don’t get enough play as a true contender. Pittsburgh (3-2) is anything but a true contender with a bad defense and a mediocre quarterback.
Pick: Arizona 34, Pittsburgh 21
Miami Dolphins at Tennessee Titans (-2.5)
This is a win-or-get-out game for Miami (1-3). Tennessee (1-3) is not a good team by any measure, so if the Dolphins lose this one, say good night.
Pick: Tennessee 26, Miami 24
