The Kansas City Chiefs will win the AFC West
The Denver Broncos are going down!
Peyton Manning is past his prime and on his last leg (literally). Their offensive line was already a huge question mark and the loss of All Pro tackle Ryan Clady really sealed Denver’s fate. Not only do I see the Kansas City Chiefs being a stronger team in 2015, but I see the Broncos taking a real step backwards on offense. That’s why I believe the Chiefs will top them in 2015.
While KC’s offense won’t be amazing (remember, they’ll be handicapped by a suspect offensive line), I still see the trio of Jamaal Charles, Travis Kelce, and Jeremy Maclin being good enough to move the ball and put some points on the board. When you combine that with a defense that I just predicted would be the best against the pass in the entire NFL you get a team ready to dethrone Manning and the rest of the Donkeys.
This feeling goes beyond just my Kansas City bias. The Broncos look like a team poised for a fall this season. I’m not a fan of Broncos new coach Gary Kubiak who had the Texans competitive but never able to take the next step. Now they have a new coach for an aging quarterback who could be in his last season. It feels like the Broncos are just waiting for Manning to retire but respect him too much to force his hand. It just doesn’t feel like a winning situation to me.
Philip Rivers and the Chargers are a team that KC has to be prepared for, but should the Broncos stumble I like Kansas City’s overall roster a lot more than I like San Diego’s, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Then there are the Oakland Raiders who may be improved this coming season but does anybody really want to predict the Raiders will win the division? I didn’t think so.
So there you have it Addicts, my four predictions for the 2015 season. Do you agree with any of them? All of them? Do you have any bold predictions of your own you would like to put on record? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments below.
As always, thanks for reading and GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!
