21. Cincinnati Bengals – D.J. Humphries, OT, Florida

Humphries is an intriguing prospect and gives Cincinnati some youth on the veteran line.

22. Pittsburgh Steelers – Arik Armstead, DT, Oregon

Armstead is a boom-or-bust pick. He’s a great athlete but his tape is fairly mediocre.

23. Detroit Lions – Cameron Erving, C, Florida State

Dominic Raiola is gone and the Lions are without an obvious center. Erving fits the bill for Jim Caldwell’s group.

24. Arizona Cardinals – Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor

Petty is going in the first round, and the Cardinals need a quarterback. Carson Palmer isn’t the long-term answer.

25. Carolina Panthers – Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami (FL)

Flowers is a right tackle with great size. He’ll replace Byron Bell nicely and give Cam Newton some more time.

26. Baltimore Ravens – Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia

Gurley is the first running back off the board. General manager Ozzie Newsome gets a real gem here.

27. Dallas Cowboys – Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin

Dallas gets lucky and takes the best running back in the class. Gordon has explosive speed and a knack for the big play.

28. Denver Broncos – Eddie Goldman, NT, Florida State

The best offensive tackles are off the board and Goldman is a fine replacement for Terrance Knighton.

29. Indianapolis Colts – Marcus Peters, CB, Washington

The Colts have Vontae Davis, but desperately need help across from him. Peters is solid if he can stay out of trouble.

30. Green Bay Packers – Eric Kendricks, ILB, UCLA

Kendricks would add to a great linebacking core which includes Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers.

31. New Orleans Saints – Byron Jones, CB, Connecticut

Jones is a nice corner and would slide in nicely across from Keenan Lewis. The Saints get more defensive help.

32. New England Patriots – Eric Rowe, CB. Utah

Rowe rounds out the first round as a corner who has been flying up draft boards. He has the task of replacing Darrelle Revis.
