Round 1, Pick 18: Jake Fisher, OT, Oregon

Every draft season is the same. You see a player, really like a player, then the world wakes up and they are out of reach. T.J. Clemmings and DeVante Parker are both top-12 on the big board and out of reach. So, the Chiefs have to recalibrate and look at the next tier of players.

I considered Landon Collins here. With Ron Parker making noises of looking for a pile of money and Eric Berry sick, Collins could easily be the choice. Fisher is a good technician, but not the elite athlete. It’s not a classic Dorsey pick (Clemmings would be), but the Chiefs need an infusion of talent in the offensive line, and Fisher has the versatility to help.

OK, Addicts, that’s my take on things. I wish a CB was in range in the first four rounds, but overall I am pretty happy. Once the compensatory picks are announced, The Chiefs could be looking at more picks and a richer draft.

Now, head over to Draft Tek, look at the big board and post your own mock in the comments!
