Smith has sneakily become a top 10 cornerback in this league and he’s done it with an absolute carousel at every other position in the secondary. In a tight game like this where the Chiefs will likely be forced to sell out to stop the run, Smith is going to be heavily challenged.

He will presumably be matched up on Pittsburgh’s stellar WR Antonio Brown, and will have to use his 6’3” 218-lbs frame to consistently gain advantage and box out the 5’10” 186-lbs receiver. I hope and expect that Smith will get some safety help, because if you don’t press Brown hard at the line, he will get away from you.

Also, the Chiefs have only 4 INT’s this year and Smith hasn’t reeled one in since Week 4 against the Patriots. If KC is able to control the game and get Big Ben to rush some throws, I think we’ll Smith add to that number.
