1. Get The Ball To The Running Backs

The key part of that step is “running backs.”

The Chiefs have something very special in Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis. One might even go as far as to say they have the best running back tandem in the NFL. The Chargers know this. In fact, most teams are aware of how talented Kansas City’s backfield is, but they still have trouble stopping the dynamic duo when it gets going.

If the Chiefs get the ground game going, Reid can start doing what he loves—throwing the ball. The welcome party for Thomas should be in full swing again, as Reid should plan on feeding him the ball in both the running and passing game.

The Chiefs must get this part of their game going if they hope to be successful against the Chargers.
