DWAYNE BOWE
Bowe needs to step up. I haven’t been impressed with the supposedly new and improved Bowe this season. He cut fifteen pounds in the off-season with the promise of being faster off the line and adding some athleticism.
So far I just haven’t seen it. He has eleven receptions for 153 yards and zero touchdowns this season. Steve Smith had a more impressive stat line than that in his one game against the Panthers. Bowe needs to kick things up a couple notches this week. Especially with Donnie Avery out. Bowe isn’t yet a key player but he needs to become one very soon.
TRAVIS KELCE
In other words, the savior of our passing game. Kelce may be the second coming of Tony Gonzalez in Kansas City. Through four games he’s racked up 259 yards and two touchdowns and is currently the Chiefs leading receiver.
He’s on pace to be the Chiefs only 1,000 yard receiver this season, and would be the youngest Chiefs tight-end to have accomplished this feat. Kelce is going to be a key player for the Chiefs not only this week but for many more to come. Expect Smith to throw him the ball early and often.
