3.) Signing DT’s Kevin Vickerson and Jerel Worthy

I’m not going to pretend to be an expert on these guys, but I think the Chiefs got the best replacements for DE Mike Devito still out on the market. Vickerson has been a solid run-defender throughout his career and although he has had trouble with injuries and penalties, he fills in for above average depth on the D-line. Worthy has also struggled with injuries but continues to have a lot of promise and Dorsey is familiar with him from when both were in Green Bay. If Worthy can develop within this system he may pay dividends beyond the short term.

That said, I hope neither has to see the field except as a part of a rotation to give the starters a breather. I like Vance Walker, Jaye Howard and Allen Bailey and I think they all give the Chiefs more than Vickerson or Worthy does at this stage.
