Second Reason To Painic For 2014…

Losing Starting Defensive Players Will Change How This Defense Plays

While it is no shock to feel that because of the loss of Mike DeVito and Derrick Johnson will spell doom for the Chiefs.

The loss of Johnson will be felt more than the loss of DeVito. Johnson is the backbone of this defense he gets the calls and helps position the defense, and the loss of him is a huge reason to panic. DeVito is a strong player and a good run stopper. However as much as it is sad that he is gone for the year, that is why the Chiefs went out and got Vance Walker to be a solid backup in case someone goes down.

The phrase “next man up” is very much over used and the same is said for the Chiefs. The reason to panic here is that if the Chiefs continue to suffer from the injury bug the term next man may get under used as the Chiefs are starting to get thin on the defensive side of the ball.

Second Reason Not To Panic…

It Was The First Game Of The Season

Ok we need to calm down. The first game of the season is just that…the first game of the season. There is a lot of football left to play and judging the Chiefs 2014 season off of one home loss is not only stupid, it’s down right insane.

While is seems to be that people everywhere are already placing the Chiefs at the bottom of the league and the AFC West it is not the time to starting doing that.

Yes there is no denying that the first game of the season was atrocious and embarrassing but calm down take a pill and let it happen. If by week 6 the Chiefs are 0-6 I will join with you in the panic button room. But for now, stop take a breath and know it was the first game of the season.
