Raiders: traded
Chiefs: QB Aaron Murray
Chargers: DT Ryan Carrethers
Broncos: OLB Lamin Barrows
Barrows is a good pick for the Broncos but he projects to the 5th round so he ended up being drafted about where he should have been.
The Chargers pick of DT Ryan Carrethers has been called their best pick and a wasted pick. Carrethers has said he expects to take over the nose so at least he’s got the right attitude.
The Chiefs selection of QB Aaron Murray is a puzzle to some and a great pick and a great value to others. Murray has a terrific upside and has played as a starter for four straight seasons at Georgia. Murray was a good value in the 5th and the fact that head coach Andy Reid has had good luck developing and trading QB’s for draft picks is excellent so it’s not really a surprise Murray is a K.C. Chief.
