Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans, Odell Beckham, Brandin Cooks, Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson are all first round level wide receiving talent in my book. You may have noticed I left Kelvin Benjamin off the list because I see him more as developmental but, he does have great upside with his size.
Sammy Watkins will be gone in the top four. I’ve seen Mike Evans fall to late in the first round in many mocks and rankings and that’s also the reason I choose to share the mock earlier which I’m sharing again below. Evans may not have Andy Reid’s ideal west coast offensive size but his talent is undeniable and pairing him with Dwayne Bowe will give defenses fits for years to come.
Odell Beckham is an incredible player on and off the field and is the kind of high moral value type of guy Andy Reid loves. However, his hands are golden so make no mistake about why the Chiefs may really be taking him on May 9th.
Brandon Cooks could be the second coming of DeSean Jackson… without the off-field flaps. Cooks is brash but he shouldn’t be the hot mess that Jackson is.
Marqise Lee’s stock has fallen recently but, I’m still a huge fan and believe he’ll be as productive as Cooks or Beckham in his rookie year. Allen is a big strong and fast character guy so he has to be considered a possibility too.
By abounding in this draft, WR has to be considered the group out of which the Chiefs most likely make their first round selection.
However, if need comes into play at all… although John Dorsey says it won’t… I’d predict that the defensive backfield is where the Chiefs will (should) go on May 9th.
Odds the Chiefs will select a WR in the first round: 25%

So, what do you think Addict fans? After all is said and done, will the Chiefs select a FB in the first?
