Even with the return of a healthy Jamaal Charles, KC is going to need a “between the tackles” style runner on the roster. If KC feels they can do better than Battle in free agency or the draft, that’s fine, but Battle should be cheap to re-sign and also plays special teams so there is really no down side to bringing him back. Plus, I’ve always been a fan of the guy for some reason (probably just because any time he carried the ball was one less time Thomas Jones would).
