Deion Sanders starred in a new Super Bowl commercial tonight that featured him being drafted #1 overall by our very own Kansas City Chiefs.

The comercial featured the Hall of Famer deciding to get back into football. Sanders shows up at the NFL combine, complete with an afro wig and a mustache. When asked for his name at registration, Deion calls himself “Leon.”

When asked for his last name, Sanders replies “Sandcastle.”

After performing well at the combine and running a 4.2 40-yard dash, Sandcastle begins to get some buzz. By the time the actual draft rolls around, he is considered the best player in the draft.

And of course, he is selected by the Kansas City Chiefs.

The commercial was pretty funny and actually featured NFL Commissioner Roger walking to the podium and announcing the pick. Sandcastle them comes out and holds up his brand new Kansas City Chiefs jersey.

I wouldn’t mind having Sanders in his prime but something tells me he can no longer run a 4.2 40.

This was especially funny for those of us here at Arrowhead Addict because last season we began calling QB Matt Cassel, “SandCassel” because whenever the pressure was on he crumbled.

Little did we know, Sandcastle was real.

In the spirit of today’s Super Bowl and the ads that will company them, I decided to throw together a posting of 15 of my favorite Super Bowl commercials.

These ads stay online for a long time because the company gets so much extra mileage out of them on YouTube if the commercials are funny. Feel free to share some of your favorites in the comments. All you have to do is post the YouTube link and the video will show up so others can check it out.
