1.		Jimmy Clausen	Quarterback	Notre Dame	Yep. I’m going there. Look, the Rams have been drafting high for a while now. They usually go with the safe pick. Everyone is going to think they are crazy for passing on Suh but I think the Rams are going to look around at the teams in the playoffs. They’ll see names like Favre, Rivers, Manning, Brees, Brady and Warner. It is apparent you need a QB in today’s NFL more than ever. If the Rams don’t get one now, they aren’t getting one in this draft.
2.		Ndamukong Suh	Defensive Tackle	Nebraska	Detroit, already having a QB, pees their pants when the Rams take Clausen. Litterally pees their pants on their way to the podium to take Suh.
3.		Gerald McCoy	Defensive Tackle	Oklahoma	Tampa is now also freaking out because they had Gerald McCoy’s name circled on their draft board and suddenly Eric freakin Berry is available. They have planned their draft around the fact that Suh and Berry would be gone when they picked. The don’t gamble and they stick with McCoy.
4.		Eric Berry	Free Safety	Tennessee	Mike Shanahan won games with Jake Plumber as his QB. He can probably win games with Jason Cambell. He also isn’t stupid enough to go reaching for Sam Bradford here before he has a season to evaluate his new team. He is building a new program and Eric Berry is one hell of a start. No way does he let Berry slip to the Chiefs.

Sinorice Moss caught his first two career touchdowns against the Seahawks last Sunday. And Monday night, he rested.

Moss, the Giants’ third-year wide receiver, was inactive for the game against the Browns. Rookie Mario Manningham was dressed in Moss’ place. It’s the third time Moss has been a healthy scratch this year, so what’s the big deal?

Well, the trading deadline is Tuesday. So did the Giants have a trade worked out for Moss and did they want to make sure he didn’t injure himself? Perhaps they had a trade worked out with the Chiefs for tight end Tony Gonzalez?

Addicts, let’s hear your thoughts on Moss as the clock ticks down?

It’s the bye week, and after last week’s debacle I’ve tried to make it a mini-bye week for me as well. But I always think about my Chiefs. I can’t help it. A few minutes ago something popped into my head that totally explains the Tony Gonzalez situation. I’m glad, because I was really struggling to explain my stance and was hurting sans the weekly Arrowhead Advantage feature. (By the way, there’s no way I’m doing RW/FF this week. I’d rather watch Gigli for ten hours straight. Besides, I deleted the Carolina Calamity the second it concluded.)

Tony Gonzalez stuck with the Chiefs is similar to when Angelina Jolie was married to Billy Bob Thornton. I love Billy Bob, but much like the Chiefs, the Midwestern favorite wasn’t going to cut it for one of the hottest stars around. Angelina needeed her own star; one who was at the top of his game and in his prime. She found that in Pitt, ten years Billy Bob’s junior and just a tad more handsome, rich and famous.

A team like the New York Giants could be Tony G’s Pretty Boy Pitt. He’s given everything to the Chiefs for over a decade now, on his way to becoming the most prolific Chiefs’ offensive player and NFL tight end ever. He’s basically pulled an Angelilly Bob and worn a vial of the Chiefs’ blood around his neck. He’s been the Red and Gold’s monogamous rock. And what has he received in return? A bunch of playoff one-and-dones.

Don’t give me this “we paid him” crap either. If Billy Bob would have told Angelina she wasn’t worth all of that fuss (she ultimately ditched him), another guy would have disagreed and scooped her up. History proves that statement true. Gonzo would be no different. If King Carl had of decided not to pay Gonzalez, then another suitor would have swooped in within the hour and paid that man–handsomely. As much as we love Tony G, I don’t think even we truly appreciate what he brings to the franchise on a daily basis.

Again, I love me some Billy Bob Thornton. Bad Santa, Sling Blade, The Man Who Wasn’t There, etc. But over the past five years it’s been easy to see why Angelina bounced, especially in favor of Pitt. Not trying to be superficial here, folks, but just look at the situation objectively. Angelina makes beautiful people look in the mirror and say, damn, I’m ugly. She had no business being with a guy closer to her dad Jon Voight’s age than her own. Being married to a star like Pitt has helped her take her career to the next level–to the A-list.

The defending Super Bowl champion G-Men can do the same for Tony. He deserves some actual playoff success and a chance to win a Super Bowl. If you ask me, playing for the small market, playoff pansy Chiefs has also affected his marketability. This guy should be as big as any star in the NFL. The only thing better than his hands and his looks are his personality. The guy is a role model and a bonafide hero. He may not have been able to save the Chiefs from choking, but, much like he did for Ken Hunter, he applied the Heimlich Maneuver. The Chiefs were just beyond even his saving.

My Brangelina Theory states that the right thing for the Chiefs to do is get on the horn and make the Giants the Tony G-Men. At worst, they’d send us a third-rounder. That pick will be worth something when Tony is soaking up the sun with October as a California retiree, waiting to enter the Hall of Fame and Ring of Honor as a Chief. For now, Tony deserves better.

Chiefs TE Tony Gonzalez to the Giants: Why would a team trade a man many consider the greatest tight end of all time? The Chiefs are rebuilding and by the time they turn around their fortunes, Gonzalez’s time in this league could be over. Why let his career end on a rebuilding team? He and team President Carl Peterson are extremely close. If they can find a trade that would work for all parties, it would actually be quite honorable for a team executive to not hold a player hostage in his final years on a rebuilding team. Get something for him to assist with the rebuilding process. He’ll forever be loved in KC regardless.

The Giants are the perfect fit as they’d provide Eli Manning with one of the most reliable targets in the league. Between Gonzalez and Plaxico Burress, their red-zone threat would be downright scary. The Giants should take the second- and fifth-round picks they got for Jeremy Shockey’s trade and offer them to the Chiefs for Gonzalez. Shockey for Gonzo? Who doesn’t do that?

I don’t think this would happen, but it should. Not all fans agree with me, but it’s the best thing for the franchise and one of its best, most loyal players ever to don the Red and Gold. It makes a ton of sense for the Giants, too. In my opinion, his addition would make the G-Men the favorites.

Rudd: “Back during a woeful 2007 season, the only way most people ever thought future Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez would go to a Super Bowl was if he bought himself a ticket. Not Tony. He always believed in the Kansas City Chiefs. Even during that 4-12 season.”

Gonzalez: “You know, a lot of other guys would have demanded a trade. Brett Favre, Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas…a lot of franchise guys changed colors, and wanted to. Not me. I’m Red and Gold for life. I knew that we were going to be there in 2-3 years, and I also knew I still had a lot of football in me. I believed in our young guys and I believed in myself. Still, we had to go to work.”

Rudd: “Go to work the Chiefs did. One of those young guys who went to work with Gonzalez was defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey.”

Dorsey: “When I got to Kansas City, we were a 4-12 football team. I wasn’t OK with that. In college I was the best and we were champions. I thought if I could do that again in the pros, I could help the Chiefs be champions, too. It wasn’t always pretty, but that’s how it worked out. 11-5, four blood-and-guts playoff wins on the way to the Lombardi Trophy. We did it.”

Things got pretty heated over the past couple days around here. That’s why I wanted to do this post. Two nights ago, I couldn’t sleep. I turned on the tube to the NFL Network and saw America’s Game: The 2007 New York Giants. At that point, it really hit home that we all want the same thing. We want our guys to hoist up the trophy, have the parade and end up on that show. If the 2007 Giants can do it, so can the 2010 Chiefs. The show might not mean anything to many of you, but it has special meaning to me.
