St. Louis Rams/Dave - OT Jake Long, Michigan Al Saunders did hint that they would like to try to get a tackle through Free Agency so there is still a chance that he falls past them, but a betting man would have to agree that money says they draft Jake Long and pass on Chris Long thus taking a defensive player in rounds 2 and 3. - Dave

	5. Kansas City Chiefs/Donovan - DT Sedrick Ellis, USC I’m going to go ahead and draft out of the theory that you should draft the best player on the board and not out of necessity. So that being said I have to select Sedrick Ellis out of USC. - Donovan*
	6. New York Jets/Jeremy - DE Vernon Gholston, Ohio State They need alot of help. Defense is the most important. - Jeremy
	7. New England Patriots (From 49ers)/Mike Vogel - OT Ryan Clady, Boise St. We’re going to continue to protect Tom’s beautiful face and our dominance of the AFC by selecting: Ryan Clady JR OT Boise St. - Mike Vogel
	8. Baltimore Ravens/kcchiefsfan56 - QB Matt Ryan, BC For the Ravens pick, I’m gonna have to draft QB out of Boston College, Matt Ryan. I’m not sold on Troy Smith, and the Ravens need a franchise quarterback. - kcchiefsfan56
	9. Cincinnati Bengals/ROC27 - LB Keith Rivers, USC “We” need to stop putting Robert Geathers into a linebacker spot whenever “we’re” short a man in the corp…. Therefore, I’m gonna go ‘head and take USC LB Keith Rivers. He should be able to help the defense not get crapped all over…. LIKE LJ DID ALL DAY BABY!!!!!! - ROC27

New Orleans Saints/Cornelius - CB Leodis McKelvin, Troy An aging (but still very good) Mike McKenzie and an aborted stillborn abomination of a cover man (Jason David) mean this corps needs some work. The consensus I’m reading for the top man coverage corner is Leodis McKelvin of Troy, so I’ll go with the people’s choice. - *Cornelius*
	11. Buffalo Bills/Porter Park - CB Mike Jenkins, USF the Buffalo Bills select CB Mike Jenkins, USF; this could pan out well for the Bills if Jenkins doesnt stay out late at “da club”, McGahee said there is nothing to do in Buffalo, which might be good for Jenkins. - Porter Park
	12. Denver Broncos/Paradise - OLB Dan Connor, Penn State With the 12th pick in the 2008 draft, the Donkeys select OLB Dan Connor of Linebacker U. For a team with any other CB tandem, Talib would have been the pick here. The picking strategy for the Broncos starts with finding the player with the largest nostrils, and the most horsed-up grill…but in this case, they just took the best player available. - *Paradise*
	13. Carolina Panthers/Moose Knuckle - TE Martin Rucker, Mizzou Carolina picks Martin T. Rucker. Probably a little(or a lot) early but wanted to make sure to get him. - *Moose Knuckle*
	14. Chicago Bears/poll - QB Brian Brohm, Louisville
	15. Detroit Lions/clintshuckman - CB Aqib Talib, Kansas
	16. Arizona Cardinals/RTC - S Kenny Phillips, Miami Adrian Wilson, expected to return from an Achilles injury and be 100% in 08, needs somebody beside him to help decapitate wide receivers. That somebody comes from the U. The Cardinals take Kenny Phillips. - RTC
	17. Minnesota Vikings/Double D - WR DeSean Jackson, Cal Commotion erupts at the Vikings table. After a few a minutes of confusion and scuffling, order is restored. Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell seizes the mike and says “The coaching staff of the Norsemen have collectively determined that better air cover is needed to to support our infantry. With our 1st pick of the 2008 draft, the Vikings are proud to select DeSean Jackson.” Later in the day, Coach Brad Childress is discovered locked in a broom closet with a set of ball bearings in his hand and muttering something about strawberries. - *Double D*
	18. Houston Texans/powercatsrule - RB Rashard Mendenhall, Illinois Houston is very upset about the Vikings pick of DeSean Jackson. We thought his speed would be a perfect complement to Johnson’s size and strength. So, to our dismay, the Texans now will choose a RB that is known for his power, but he still has the speed to run past USC defenders. Houston Texans select Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Fighting Illini. - *powercatsrule*
	19. Philadelphia Eagles/ITI - OT Chris Williams, Vanderbilt The Eagles are stunned to see this player still on the board, and Andy Reid tears his hamstring while running to the podium. The Eagles select franchise left tackle Chris Williams of Vanderbilt. - *Inside The Iggles*
	20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers/staff - WR Malcolm Kelly, Oklahoma The staff has decided that Kelly is the best player available at a “need” position for the Bucs. Kelly will help cover for aging WRs Galloway and Hilliard, not to mention draft bust Michael Clayton.
	21. Washington Redskins/Chris (AP) - DE Calais Cambpell, Miami With the 21st pick in the 2008 AA mock draft, the Washington Redskins select Calais Campbell, defensive end from Miami. When you get to the bottom third of the first round, options open up for teams with a lot of needs. More than likey, these teams end up going with the best player available. Washington could draft for a few other important positions of need here but Campbell makes sense. The Redskins aren’t going to land a Glenn Dorsey or Chris Long this draft but still desperately need help on the defensive line. Calais Campbell is the next best defensive end out there. Campbell gives the Redskins a great combination of pass rushing ability and run stopping ability. He certainly isn’t one dimensional. Campbell fills a big hole that could be even deeper after free agency. - Chris (AP)
	22. Dallas Cowboys (From Browns)/Jason - RB Felix Jones, Arkansas With the 22nd pick in the 2008 AA Readers Mock Draft the Dallas Cowboys select Felix Jones RB Arkansas. Jerry Jones gets his Arkansas running back, just not the one he wanted. - *Jason*
	23. Pittsburgh Steelers/jay - OT Jeff Otah, Pittsburgh With the 23rd pick, Pittsburgh selects Jeff Otah. With T Max Starks and G Alan Faneca likely gone, Big Ben will need some protection. Plus he’s a local boy! - *jay*
	24. Tennessee Titans/xxxlp - WR Jordy Nelson, K-State With the 24th pick of the 2008 AA Reader’s Mock Draft, the Tennessee Titans select Jordy Nelson, wide receiver from Kansas State. The 6′3″, 215 lb. receiver will no doubt help out the Titan’s weak receiving corps. He will also be able to demonstrate his talents in the return game, and give the Titans something they have lacked since Pacman Jones. - xxxlp
	25. Seattle Seahawks/Taylor - TE Fred Davis, USC Fred Davis-TE-USC- Marcus Pollard probably wont be back for the Seahawks this coming season which leaves a need at the tight end spot. In Mike Holmberg’s last season, he’ll be sure to pick the spot on the team that can contribute right away, which is TE. A lot of people say that the Seahawks will draft a running back here, but at the end of round 1, no running back could be an upgrade over Shaun Alexander right now, even though he might have lost a step in his old age. Davis is the best tight end in this years draft and also an upgrade from Pollard. Davis will open up things for Matt Hasselback and the Seahawks passing offense.
	26. Jacksonville Jaguars - DT DeMario Pressley, NC State The Jags after long considering the idiotic fans of Jacksonville, have decided not to draft a wideout… as the Jags still have decent receivers.Yes they also will need an infusion of blood, on the o-line. But they do have a replacement swingman, and a rookie from last year who is a humongous beast.the corners could use some help… as they have grown older, but we have recently drafted one replacement for the corner spot as well… so seeing as the top cover corners have been selected already, we will have to pass on corner this year as a first rounder.And we have ample players for safety spots now.so this leaves us with drafting for our D-line…without further adooooo, the Jags select……#1 SR. Demario Pressley, DT out of North Carolina ST. age is creeping in on the line… in and outside, but Demario should be able to step in and continue the strong deff. the Jags have had over the last few years, which has started to fall off slightly. - *Redbeard*
	27. San Diego Chargers/Ryan Brown - DE/OLB Quentin Groves, Auburn
	28. Dallas Cowboys/Jason - OT Gosder Cherilus, B.C. With the 28th pick the Dallas Cowboys select Gosder Cherilus OT out of BC. This pick was made because of the potential loss of Flozell Adams. I thought very hard about Dr. C or Kentwan Balmer here, but thought that Cherilus was the right pick. - Jason
	29. San Francisco 49ers (From Colts)/bannyc9 - DT Kentawan Balmer, North Carolina Wasting no time, San Fran takes DT/DE Kentawan Balmer out of North Carolina. Bryant Young is no spring chicken. With good size, he is reminding scouts of a Adam Caricker that can play a 3-4 DE or a 4-3 DT. Now with Willis and Balmer their middle should be shored up. The 49ers are hoping for more Julius Peppers and less Ryan Sims! - *bannyc9*

Green Bay Packers/Chris (KCCF) - CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Tennessee State With the 30th pick in the 2008 Arrowhead Addict Readers Mock Draft the Green Bay Packers select Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie from Tennessee State University.Both Al Harris and Charles Woodson are getting up there in age so the Pack will be looking to take a player capable of replacing them if one or the other goes down with an injury. RC has tremendous man-to-man cover skills and is able to make plays when the ball is in the air, so he’ll fit in nicely in Green Bay. - Chris (KCCF)

Dave, I don’t think so. I think the first round was more difficult to get done than people realize. When you have people who are less interested and knowledgeable, it will be twice as difficult. I think we are going to do another first round here soon. We might do a second round then, because after the combine we will know a lot more. We will also know a lot more after FA.

What bias! You want C Long so you have the Rams taking J Long. Ain’t gonna happen. Wake up and smell the coffee. The Rams will take Ellis, Dorsey, or C Long. At least one of the three should be available to you. Only time will tell which is the best pick.

first of, dorsey will not be not 1. parcells wil not pay that money for the DT, chris long will be #1.the pats will not take clady, they’ll take a CB or trade down.and you can’t make a mock draft and bias toward one team, the chiefs will end up taking jake long

The Broncos aren’t donkeys, if my memory serves me right I’m pretty sure the Broncos beat the Cheifs twice this year. In Week 11 the score was 27-11 Broncos win and then in Week 14 (which was a hurried week for Denver due to their Thursday game as well) the Broncos won by quite a lot, 41-7 to be exact.

I’m thinking Miami will pick Ellis because he would seem to be a better fit for their 3-4 defense. I could be wrong, but I believe he’s the only true nose tackle in the first round.
The way I see it, it’s easier to turn a NT into a DT than the other way around. And I don’t think money is going to be that big of an issue for Parcells - unless he trades down, he’s got the #1 pick and everything that goes with it.

I hate to say this but that has got to be the dumbest Mock ever. You think the panthers will pick up Rucker in the 1st. I have seen him in rounds 2,3 but never in the 1st at 13 spot. I feel like a dumb azz for even looking at this mock. How about a LT,DE,S in the first guys, do your homework next time, because you deserve this lashing!

I can’t believe some of the guys that were skipped over in the 1st round. Everyone is complaining about the Carolina Selection. However, no one has pointed out that Jordy Nelson probably doesn’t even get taken on day 1.
