Five reasons why the Chiefs will dominate the Patriots

The Chiefs are looking to run the table and the Patriots stand in their way. With the trajectory of each team, the Chiefs could show out in Foxboro.

The Kansas City Chiefs control their own destiny for the remainder of the season. After putting a beatdown on the Oakland Raiders in a strange and windy affair, the New England Patriots lost to Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans. This is how each team has been trending in the past couple of weeks, and there are reasons to believe that the Chiefs can march into Gillette Stadium and maintain the current momentum by whipping the Patriots.

Andy Reid and Bill Belichick are the two winningest active coaches in football and undoubtedly have tricks up their sleeve. Among the other storylines is the rematch of the 2018 AFC Championship in which the Chiefs were defeated because of an offsides call on Dee Ford. Now, both teams are very different stylistically. The Chiefs are not as consistent on offense but have seen genuine improvement on defense. The Patriots have been very good defensively, but have struggled to find any kind of rhythm on offense. No storyline is more intriguing than Mahomes vs Brady 3.0.

People have been looking for Brady to “pass the torch” for about three years. Once again, we get a chance to see last year’s MVP try to pry that torch from Brady’s fingers. Both teams have an offense that hasn’t yet peaked this season. The Chiefs appear to be progressing and the Patriots appear to be regressing. Here are five reasons that the Chiefs could knock off the Patriots in New England.
