Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has entered the NFL’s Top 100 players of 2017 at No. 26 overall.

The NFL continues to unveil their list of the Top 100 Players in the NFL heading into the 2017 season and the Kansas City Chiefs continue to appear throughout the countdown. Travis Kelce is the highest so far, coming in at No. 26 overall, as one of the league’s top tight ends.

Kelce enjoyed a true breakout season last year after signing an extension last offseason that predicted this much would happen. John Dorsey inked Kelce to a five-year, $46.8 million deal in January of 2016, and Kelce rewarded him for his early support with a career-high in multiple categories including targets (117), catches (85) and receiving yards (1,125). He also didn’t fumble a single football in 2016.

"Kelce was a big-play machine and bombastic at times, but based on this ranking, his peers also know he’s a force to be reckoned with. As Kansas City recently waved goodbye to Jeremy Maclin, the rest of the fan base could find comfort in knowing Kelce remained ready to exploit mismatches for Alex Smith and the Chiefs’ offense."

Kelce has made the last two Pro Bowls and he’s likely going to continue that streak for as long as he remains healthy. Given Kelce’s value and offensive impact, it would be a surprise if he doesn’t end up playing out the full length of his current contract, which is up after the 2021 season.

Other Chiefs on the list include:

  • No. 32. CB Marcus Peters
  • No. 36. WR Tyreek Hill
  • No. 76. OLB Justin Houston
  • No. 81. QB Alex Smith
