Travis Kelce is hosting his second annual Walk the Walk to benefit Operation Breakthrough, which serves over 400 under-privileged children daily.

Travis Kelce will be hosting his second annual Walk the Walk on Thursday, June 8, to benefit Operation Breakthrough, an organization serves over 400 under-privileged children daily with educational and social services.  The event is in partnership with Kelce’s own charity 87 & Running Foundation.

“This is a night of fashion and fun for a good cause” says Sarah Edenfield, a representative of 87 & Running Foundation. “People from all over the K.C. community will come together for food, drinks, a chance to hang with Travis and watch a fashion show that highlights some awesome K.C. brands.

“This year the show will feature Garment District, Etiquette, Houndstooth, and Charlie Hustle. The 87 & Running Foundation has partnered with Operation Breakthrough, and we have a few of the children walking in the show. These under-privileged children then get to keep the clothes they model.”

Last year was the first year for Walk the Walk, an idea thought up by Kelce to raise money and awareness for children who remain underserved yet through an event that matches the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s personality.

“I wanted it to be fun and interactive, and what’s better than getting to see some awesome designers and clothes. It’s my opportunity to give back,” says Kelce.

Edenfield says they’re better situated this year to raise more money than before, thanks to a larger venue and better overall production.

“Last year was great, but we are looking forward to a bigger and better event this year,” she says. “We have moved to a larger venue, The Guild, and have a top-of-the-line production company, Platinum K.C., handling the show production. We will have a larger audience and be able to raise even more money for Operation Breakthrough, as well as announce the launch of an ongoing fundraising campaign with their organization.”

If you’re interested in registration, you can do so here and each ticket includes an open bar, food and a seat for the fashion show.
