Former Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles says he’s always wanted to play for the Denver Broncos after signing a 1-year deal.

When Jamaal Charles was released by the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason, it came with plenty of fanfare from fans and even the Chiefs, as team owner Clark Hunt, general manager John Dorsey and head coach Andy Reid all released statements celebrating his contributions to the team, his excellence as a person and player and how much he means to the city and fans. Despite that, however, Charles apparently took the move personally. He admitted as much when signing a new one-year deal on Tuesday with the Denver Broncos.

“It’s behind me. … They say it’s a business, but it’s personal as well. It is what is.” said Charles, per Denver Post reporter Nicki Jhabvala. Here’s some more notable clips from Charles’ introductory press conference after signing with the Chiefs rivals.
