The Kansas City Chiefs are one of several teams scheduling time with Davis Webb before the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft arrives in late April.

The Kansas City Chiefs have already met with every top quarterback in the NFL Draft, including every one of the supposed top four: Patrick Mahomes, Mitchell Trubisky, Deshaun Watson and DeShone Kizer. Now they’re apparently doing their homework on every other option in the next tier, having already met with Nathan Peterman and now making time to check out Davis Webb from Cal.

Webb has been a fast riser in the NFL Draft and has been mentioned recently as a potential round one selection, especially as the stock of other passers like Kizer have fallen. His NFL.com draft profile compares him to Brock Osweiler and Nick Foles, not exactly the most promising comps for Chiefs fans to hear. That said, to quickly pigeonhole one quarterback in such easy ways likely undermines the hard work that John Dorsey is doing.

Per Tony Pauline, the Chiefs were one of several teams checking in on him including the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals.

Webb threw 37 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last year.
