Jamaal Charles left the Seattle Seahawks visit without a contract offer, but Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk says he has another visit coming soon.

Free agency looks different for different players. For Dontari Poe, the open market brought a number of suitors and a legitimate tour of half the country as he visited several teams before signing with the Atlanta Falcons. For Jamaal Charles, the franchises haven’t exactly lined up to speak to him, but he continues to draw interest even as he wraps up his visit with the Seattle Seahawks without having received an official contract offer.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk says that a mystery team may be involved with Charles, although the identity of that franchise is unknown.

"Charles also may be visiting another team next week. For now, the identity of that franchise isn’t known."

Florio guesses the Philadelphia Eagles or the Indianapolis Colts are the most likely teams, both obvious destinations given the ties to Doug Pederson and Chris Ballard respective. The former was the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs for years before taking the head coaching gig in Philly. The latter is now the general manager in Indy after years alongside John Dorsey in the Chiefs front office. The Colts are especially needy at running back.

That said, other teams are just as likely, including teams that have hosted other veteran free agent backs, like the Oakland Raiders. The Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers were recently identified as the “best fits” for Charles by NFL.com Gregg Rosenthal. In other words, no one has any real idea where Charles will land.

Charles is the Chiefs all-time leading rusher, but has only made 5 starts in the last two NFL seasons. Any team signing him will be banking on an unlikely comeback.
