The Kansas City Chiefs are looking at some potential help from another Auburn product with the last name of Ford.

Rudy Ford hopes to be the next great Auburn product in the NFL. If he is chosen by the Kansas City Chiefs, he’ll also be the second Auburn named Ford on the roster. Three drafts after Dee Ford was taken in the first round by the Chiefs, the team could select another Ford if they are impressed enough with the incredible speed and strong work in the secondary by Rudy Ford.

Rudy Ford is expected to be a Day 3 pick by most, but he certainly helped himself at his Pro Day by running a 40-yard dash in 4.34 seconds.

Ford had 64 tackles, 5.5 of them for a loss this last season. He has 5 career interceptions at Auburn, but he did fail to register a single one this season. Brandon Marcello at Auburn Undercover noted the Chiefs were one of many teams spending time with Ford, including the Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons.

Mel Kiper Jr. said in January that he had a “fourth or fifth round grade” on Ford.
