Chiefs Nearing Full Strength

Kansas City isn’t going to get much healthier than they are headed into their Thursday night showdown against the Oakland Raiders. Only Dontari Poe and Kendall Reyes, who are both questionable, are on the injury report with injury designations. This means that Jeremy Maclin will play on Thursday and for the first time this season, Justin Houston, Tamba Hali, and Dee Ford will all be healthy and ready to go. They will also have their full complement of corners as well and should be a test for Derek Carr on Thursday night.

The Raiders come into KC a little more banged up. They will be without their starting rookie safety Karl Joseph. They will also be without some of their defensive linemen but we will not know which until closer to game time. Oakland will be coming to Kansas City to face a team they haven’t beat in KC since before Reid took over the team in 2013. The Raiders are also 5-0 on the road this year which speaks better for their chances down the stretch as they face 3 of their next four opponents on the road and all divisional games.

AFC West to get clearer

When everything is said and done on Thursday night expect there to be a clear winner outside the score as well. This has the makings of a game that could get out of hand and be lopsided if one team decides not to show up right out of the gate. Kansas City is in prime position to take over first place in the AFC and move into 2nd in the conference, the question is will they be in that position come Friday morning?
