The Chiefs got some fantastic news on Wednesday with the return of Jeremy Maclin, Dee Ford and Steven Nelson to practice.

While Ford and Maclin were limited Nelson was a full go. Getting these three players back headed to Atlanta would certainly give KC a much better against the Falcons. Kansas City has done well this season against teams with good offenses and bad defenses and that trend could certainly continue on Sunday.

Dontari Poe and Jaye Howard did not practice at all on Wednesday so they will be players to watch as the week goes on. The Chiefs will be hard pressed to not make a move by Sunday if both Poe and Howard will miss the game. With Kendall Reyes limited yesterday as well their defensive line may need a couple of more bodies.

Key stretch of games

Kansas City heads to Atlanta one game back from the Raiders who take on the Bills this week. While Oakland is expected to win this week the key matchup will be a week from today when Chiefs host the Raiders on Thursday night football. That game could decide if the Chiefs have a chance to win the division or not which could also decide home field advantage.
