The Chiefs defense has been making statements for weeks now. Ever since the bye week, they’ve linked together dominant performances every week. 10 points to the Raiders, 21 to the Saints, 14 to the Colts, 14 to the Jaguars, and now 17 to the Panthers. But on Sunday, the defense was also the best offense, as gamebreaking plays by Eric Berry and Marcus Peters gave the Chiefs a win when the offense couldn’t find points on its own.

Now, as the Chiefs prepare for Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers, will the defense be able to stand up the the challenge again, and will Alex Smith and the offense get out of its rut to help the Chiefs climb to 8-2 and the top of the AFC?
