Locked on Chiefs: Matt Williamson joins us to talk Steelers

Chiefs got some very good news Wednesday that could be critical for Sunday night’s primetime matchup.

Both the starting guards were available for practice on Wednesday. That marks the first chance for the five best offensive lineman on the roster to play together since they left the field week one.

Parker Ehinger has apparently cleared the concussion protocol and was on the practice field, albeit in a limited role. This will be one to watch as the game approaches. Ehinger would be a welcome upgrade at left guard. Laurent Durvernay-Tardif is on his way back from a high ankle sprain. With Jah Reid out with an injury, LDT’s return could play a pivotal role in the Chiefs ability to combat the Steelers in Pittsburgh. They will n need to run the ball, which is his strength.

Marcus Peters recognized

After two consecutive games with two interceptions, Marcus Peters had put himself on the NFL map for the second consecutive year. Following week three, the NFL recognized Peters with the AFC Defensive Player of the Week. Truthfully, the award could have gone to the entire defense. It sets the defensive unit up with a shot of confidence going into Pittsburgh. With Peters leading the way, look for them to press for more of the same.
