The Kansas City Chiefs are believed by most to be a top-10 team going into the season. By most.

It’s been a nice and refreshing theme this offseason around Kansas City. The Chiefs are assumed by most to reach the postseason and perhaps go deep into January, something that is not always the case in the Midwest.

However, not everyone feels that way. Over at CBS Sports, Will Brinson is picking the Chiefs to finish dead last in the AFC West. He has the San Diego Chargers winning the division, with the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos finishing second and third, respectively.

Of the other six writers, four of them have Kansas City winning the West with Pete Prisco having the Chiefs as one of the two AFC wild card teams.

It would be nothing short of a complete shocker if the Chiefs finished last. Nothing against the other teams in the West, but Kansas City is very talented on both sides of the ball and has a head coach who almost never finishes with a losing record.

The Chiefs should get a good idea how they stack up in the division come Week 1, when they host the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium come Sunday afternoon.
