Chiefs veterans report to camp on Friday
The Kansas City Chiefs will see the rest of their team report to training camp on Friday.
After welcoming rookie, quarterbacks and veterans returning from injury, the rest of the Chiefs are coming to St. Joe’s on Friday. It’s finally that time.
Kansas City enters training camp with a bunch of questions and just as many expectations. The Chiefs will be without outside linebacker Justin Houston and safety Eric Berry, who are recovering from an ACL surgery and holding out, respectively. Jamaal Charles is also listed on the PUP list, although that isn’t thought to be anything long-term. Houston will be at camp, just rehabbing in lieu of practice.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group should be there in full force. We can finally see Tamba Hali, Marcus Peters, Derrick Johnson, Dontari Poe, Eric Fisher and Mitch Schwartz among others.
The Chiefs have not won or reached a Super Bowl since 1969, but some believe this could be the year. Kansas City is well-stocked on both sides of the football and with the AFC more open than it has been in years, the Chiefs have a real shot to bust through the door.
The first full-team practice will be on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. CST.
