Good morning, Addicts! It’s Tuesday, and it is also one of the best days of the entire football calendar.

Why? Because the Kansas City Chiefs are reporting to training camp. Yes, it is only the rookies and quarterbacks, but we actually get to see some of our guys heading into camp, gearing up for the 2016 season.

The Chiefs have very high hopes for this season, aiming to win the Super Bowl for the first time since 1969. Should they accomplish that feat, much work has to be done in the next six weeks or so.

Here is the news you need to know…

Which players can the Kansas City Chiefs turn to for an offensive boost?Adam Teicher of ESPN

"Where’s that additional offense going to come from? The Chiefs are expecting the return of running back Jamaal Charles, who missed last season’s final 11 regular-season games and both playoff games because of a torn ACL. Otherwise, the Chiefs are bringing back the same group of skill players they used in 2015. Their major offensive acquisition in the offseason was a lineman, right tackle Mitchell Schwartz."

Can any of the Kansas City Chiefs’ rookies unseat Phillip Gaines?Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride

"Regardless of who wins this role, the depth will be key. Not only because the Chiefs regularly play five, six and even seven defensive backs in defensive packages, but also because of injuries. Let’s not forget that in two seasons Gaines has had a concussion and torn his ACL. I don’t want to say he’s injury prone but it’s something to consider. The Chiefs seem to have done that with the drafting of three defensive backs."

Andy Reid looks to build on Kansas City’s late-season runThom Hanrahan of the St. Joseph News-Press

"As far as the familiar goes, Reid has back his steady West Coast offense quarterback, Alex Smith. The former first-overall draft pick (San Francisco, 2005) is coming off his best season as a Chief. He posted a 95.4 passer rating and ran for nearly 500 yards."
