Good morning, Addicts! It’s HUMP DAYYYYY. The Kansas City Chiefs are just over a week away from getting back onto the field for good, with the start of training camp looming.

The season feels far away, but at the same point, it is now right around the corner. When your team has championship hopes – and legitimate ones at that – the season can’t get here soon enough.

"Smith set career highs in yards passing (3,486), had his highest passer rating (95.4) since 2012 and threw his most touchdown passes (20) since 2013. Reid likes to shape quarterbacks, and he drafted Kevin Hogan from Stanford in the fifth round. Aaron Murray has the inside track to be Smith’s backup after Chase Daniel left in free agency."

Talent ranking suggest Chiefs won’t be better offensively – Adam Teicher of ESPN

"A ranking by Pro Football Focus of the various position groups for all 32 teams would suggest it isn’t. The rankings, which can be found at the Pro Football Focus website, ranks the Chiefs 19th at quarterback, 28th at wide receiver, 17th on the offensive line and third at running back. On average, the Chiefs rank 17th offensively, or in the middle of the pack."
