Good morning, Addicts! Hopefully, you are having a good week and nothing happens today to ruin it. In a few hours, we can all go home and get the weekend off, and frankly, that is a beautiful thing.

There is not anything wild in the Chiefs Kingdom going on, except for our star tight end going on his own dating show, and our star return man tweeting that he’s coming back in 2016. Other than that, everything is completely quiet and normal.

Here is the news you need to know…

Doesn’t Alex Smith deserve to be in Pro BowlAdam Teicher of ESPN

"Smith was the NFL’s 10th rated passer, higher than all of the Pro Bowl replacements except for Taylor. Passer rating is an imperfect measurement, as Smith finished higher this season than, among others, Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger and San Diego’s Philip Rivers."

Numbers show Chiefs must spend more on secondaryAdam Teicher of ESPN

"It’s early and much will change in this regard as players around the league are signed and released. But the early numbers show the Chiefs to be heavy spenders at linebacker, where mainly because of Justin Houston they have about $26.9 million invested in their cap, and light spenders at safety (about $3.2 million) and cornerback (about $4.3 million)."

Pro Bowl rosters are in, and Andy Reid will have four of his own guysJoel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride

"Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was the first pick for Team Irvin while Giants QB Eli Manning was the first pick for Team Rice. You would think someone like Tom Brady would be the first pick but he and the rest of the Patriots players declined the Pro Bowl invite. In fact, more players have declined a Pro Bowl invite this year than any other year in history. Not a good sign for the health of the game."
